Samsung is all about the foldable phones, but it seems like a foldable laptop might be in the company’s future.
Samsung is the market leader in foldable phones, but the concept of a folding laptop is even more intriguing. The patent shows that the company worked on this concept for several years. It was first filed in 2020, but it was published just recently on November 22.
The patent shows a laptop with a single continuous screen that can be bent in half. The top screen acts as a normal laptop screen. However, the bottom half can be used to continue or separate. The screen wraps around a keyboard creating a virtual trackpad that can replace the one we are so familiar with on laptops.
The whole thing may look a lot like an ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo at first glance, but it is actually quite different. ASUS uses two panels, which are presented one above the other.
