Taking another step forward in its campaign to encourage electric vehicle purchases, the government has launched the EV subsidy portal on Wednesday. Customers who buy electric vehicles after October 14, 2022, can now take subsidy on this portal, which started in the name of upevsubsidy.in. The government has simplified the process to directly benefit the subsidy to the customer and it will be transferred online to your account only after 4 level verification.

The benefit of this subsidy of the government is being given under the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy, 2022. In this, this benefit can be availed on electric vehicles purchased between 14 October 2022 to 13 October 2023.

What will be 4 step verification

• In the first step, information related to the purchase of electric vehicle will be given by the dealer. Like which vehicle was taken on which date, how much it cost, what is its battery size, when it was manufactured etc.
• After this, you will have to feed the complete information related to the registration of the vehicle.
• The third step will be of departmental verification, in which online verification of the information given by you will be done.
• In the fourth step, after its final verification by TI, the report will be submitted to the government.

Will get benefit in only three days
The biggest advantage of this portal will be that the customer will not have to wait for the subsidy amount. After the completion of the verification work, the subsidy amount will be transferred online to the customer’s bank account in just three working days.

how much subsidy to whom

• The government will give a subsidy of Rs 5,000 on the first 2 lakh two wheelers that come under the purchase date specified by the government.
• Similarly, on the first 25 thousand electric four wheelers, the government will give a subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh.
• At the same time, the initial 400 private electric buses will get a subsidy of up to Rs 20 lakh.
• Subsidy up to Rs 1 lakh will be available on 1000 loading vehicles.
• The subsidy will be available only up to 15 percent of the manufacturing cost of the vehicles.
