New Delhi. Coimbatore based vehicle manufacturer CRA Motorsport has launched the Atom GP1 racing bike to inculcate the passion for motorsport in children from childhood. This racing bike is specially designed for kids. It can be operated by children of 10-17 years of age. The company has kept the price of Atom GP1 bike at Rs 2.75 lakh. According to the company, this is not a road legal bike and can only be ridden on racing tracks.

The company says that with the Atom GP1, children can start a motorsport experience. This bike will help him to pursue a career in motorsport in the future. According to the company, it took three years for the Atom GP1 to go from design to production. Its first prototype was prepared by the company in 2020. Before starting the production of the bike, the company has tested it by running it on different racing tracks of the country for several months.

Bike has 160cc engine
Atom GP1 gets power from 159cc engine. This engine can generate 15 Bhp power and 13.85 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike uses a custom frame, USD fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. Disc brakes have been installed on both the wheels of the bike.

The bike sits on alloy wheels sourced from the TVS Ntorq 125 shod with TVS Remora tyres. To make the bike lighter, the company has used fiberglass body panels in it. At the same time, it has been fitted with a sporty SS race exhaust, which improves the performance of the bike.

The Atom GP1 motorcycle will also be used for training children to race and participate in motorsport events. The company is manufacturing the bike in Coimbatore. The company has the capacity to produce 250 motorcycles every year at its plant.
