Nothing Phone 2 Gets First Update With Camera Improvements And New Design Features

Nothing Phone 2, launched last week, has not started selling in India. However, before that the firm has already released the first update of the new smartphone, which brings a lot of improvements along with adding new features. However, most of the users of this smartphone in the country will be able to get this update only after receiving their units. There is more focus on the camera in this update.

The Nothing Phone 2 review unit received by Gadgets 360 has received the Nothing OS 2.0.1 update as an over-the-air (OTA) update. This Update Its size is 105 MB. Nothing has mentioned in its changelog that Glyph Composer has become available on the Google Play Store. With this, users will be able to create and record new ringtones. In addition, the Glyph progress bar has been added as a design feature for the Uber app. This is one of the indicators on the rear panel that is used to tell how long the Uber cab will take to arrive.

Apart from this, new widgets have been given which can be added to the lock screen using Always-on-Display (AOD). Users can also add their most used quick settings widgets/tiles to the home or lock screen. Some improvements related to the camera have been made in this update. Camera Portrait mode now supports 2x zoom for close-up shots. Nothing Phone 2’s 50 megapixel camera has started getting support for motion capture in high resolution camera mode and HDR has also improved. Along with this, the clarity of photos has also increased in 4x and 10x zoom. Nothing says that the camera performance has also improved with this update when used with third-party apps. The charging of this smartphone has also been improved with the update.
