Maruti Suzuki has recalled 17,362 of its cars. This includes larger models like Alto K10, Grand Vitara, S-Presso, Eco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand.
The company has informed that these vehicles are being recalled due to a defect in the airbag controller. The cars being recalled were manufactured between 8 December 2022 and 12 January 2023.

Free defect will be fixed
Maruti Suzuki has said that whatever is wrong with the car, the company will fix it for free. For this, customers will not need to make any kind of payment. The company has said in a statement that these cars are being recalled for testing and replacement of airbag controls.
In this, due to non-functioning of airbags and seat belt pretensioners, customers may have an accident. The company said that out of an abundance of caution, owners of suspected vehicles have been advised not to drive or use your vehicle until the affected part is replaced. Such customers of the recalled cars from the company will get the message from the authorized workshop soon.
Let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki India has transported more than 3.2 lakh vehicles in the year 2022 using Indian Railways. This is the highest ever dispatch by the company using the railway mode in a year.
This has offset approximately 1,800 metric tons of CO2 emissions. In addition, the company has been able to save more than 50 million liters of fuel which contributes towards enhancing India’s energy security.
