WhatsApp has rolled out the chat lock feature.
Chat Lock lets you double protect private messages.
A big loophole has come to the fore in the chat lock feature.
New Delhi. WhatsApp rolled out the chat lock feature in the past. This feature allows WhatsApp users to password protect their private messages to give double protection. The advantage of activating this feature is that even if your phone is in someone else’s hand, you will not be afraid that someone else can read your messages.
Just like after archiving a message, the archived messages are listed in a separate folder. Similarly, when a message is protected with chat lock, it gets listed in a separate folder. This folder resides above the archive folder, but it does not appear on the top as soon as you open WhatsApp like the archive. For this, you have to swipe down the chat list slightly. The notification of the message of this folder also does not come.

To open this folder, you have to use password, pattern or biometric. Now the loophole is that if you leave this folder open while using WhatsApp and then your phone is in someone’s hands, then the person in front can read your messages.
What needs to be done to avoid this?
To avoid this, you have to keep in mind that your private chat or locked message folder is not left open. Means while closing WhatsApp, after pressing the back button to exit the chat, you will also have to press the back button once to exit the folder. Because if the folder is left open then any chat present in it can be opened.
By the way, what is the use of your WhatsApp to anyone. So until the feature of Chat Lock is not loop hole free, till then you can keep your WhatsApp password protected. With this, no one will be able to access your WhatsApp only.
