Google is giving access to AI powered search engine
This access is being given only to selected users
Currently this feature is not available in India
New Delhi. Selected users are now being invited by Search Labs, Google’s new platform created to experiment with the search feature. So that they can try the generative AI powered new search engine. However, it also has a waitlist. But, the good thing is that only two weeks after its launch at the I/O 2023 event, at least some users are being given access to it.
For your information, let us tell you that earlier this month, Google had introduced Search Generative Experience (SGE). This is a set of new features that use generative AI to enhance search. One of these features is AI-generated summary. It shows a brief overview of the topic instead of the regular blue link at the top of the search result.
Here users can also talk to AI asking follow-up questions or select from suggested actions to learn more. It also gives a link to the source of AI information. So that users can verify the accuracy by going to the source. Users will also be able to discover the range of products while shopping using SGE. A few months ago Microsoft’s Bing was also launched with some similar features. Now Google is bringing such a feature.

Along with SGE, Labs currently has some other features as well. One is of Add to Sheets. It adds a button on every link of the search result. With this, users can quickly add links to the sheet of their choice. There is also a feature of second Code Tips. It is an AI-powered solution specially designed to help with writing and fixing codes.
Google has about 90 percent share of the global search engine market. In such a situation, it has the potential to shake up the search and SEO industry through these new generative AI features. At present, this new facility is being given only to selected users in the US. Currently this facility is not available in India. Here users will have to wait now.
