Recently, the Ministry of Telecom (DoT) has launched the Sathi portal, through which you can verify the complete details of the second hand phone. Also, the facility to block and track lost phones is available on this portal.

Sanchar Saathi offers the “Know Your Mobile” feature, which allows users to verify the authenticity of a second hand phone before buying it. This is expected to reduce the growing trend of cyber frauds.

How to verify second hand phone?
You can verify the IMEI number of the second hand phone on the portal.

,As soon as you dial this, the IMEI number of that phone will appear on the screen.
,Save this IMEI number somewhere.
After this you have to go to the website of Central Equipment Identity Register-(https://www.ceir.gov.in/Device/CeirIMEIVerification.jsp).

,After this you will see the option to enter IMEI number on the screen.
