Ather 450S: Ather 450S electric scooter launch price details

The FAME-2 subsidy available on electric scooters has been reduced due to which the existing electric scooters have become a bit expensive. In such a situation, the price of Ather 450x has gone up to Rs 1.45 lakh, while the price of 450x Pro Pack has gone up to Rs 1.65 lakh.

In such a situation, Ather has brought a new affordable variant to make its electric scooter accessible to more and more people. Ather 450S has been brought at a price of Rs 1.30 lakh. This variant of the company was waiting for a long time.

The launch of Ather 450S has been announced by the company on its website. Customers who are interested to buy this scooter can register on the company’s website, its official booking will be started from the month of July.

Ather hasn’t announced a delivery date yet. Talking about the price, the price which used to be of 450X Pro Pack with Fame-2 subsidy has now become of Ather 450S. This shows the importance of FAME 2 in EV sales.

The Ather 450S is powered by a 3 kWh battery that offers a range of 115 km on a single charge. Let us tell you that in its above variants 450X and 450X Pro Pack, a battery with a capacity of 3.7 kWh is given.

Ather hasn’t made any cuts in terms of performance. Its 450S model offers a top speed of 90 km/h, which is also available in 450X and 450X Pro Pack variants. In this context, only its battery and range have decreased.

Speaking on the occasion, the company’s CEO, Tarun Mehta, said, “The 450 platform has been a huge success for us and we wanted to make it available to a wider audience. The 450S will now be our new entry-level variant. The 450S will create new benchmarks “

Ather Sales May 2023: Talking about Ather’s electric scooters in May, the company has sold 15,256 units. This is 357% more than the 3787 units sold in May 2022. The company had sold 8182 units in April.

Along with Ather, rival Ola Electric has also recently increased the price of its existing scooter lineup by Rs 15,000. Ola Electric is still number one in terms of sales.
