If you are thinking of buying Hero’s electric scooter, then there is good news for you. Hero has cut the price of its Vida V1 electric scooter by Rs 25,000, taking its starting price to Rs 1.20 lakh.

At the same time, the price of the top variant of Vida V1 electric scooter goes up to Rs 1.40 lakh. The price of this variant has been reduced by Rs 19,000. This also includes the Fame 2 subsidy and portable charger which was earlier being sold separately.

This big reduction in the price has been done after the investigation of the government. Some electric two-wheeler scooter manufacturers came under the scanner of the government for taking wrong advantage of the FAME scheme.

The Vida V1 was earlier priced at Rs 1.45 lakh, which goes up to Rs 1.59 lakh for the top variant. This is great news for new customers but it is not known whether the company will refund the money to old customers or not.

Eco, Ride, Sport three riding modes are available in Vida V1. It catches the speed of 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds. Lithium ion battery is available in it. Pro variant 3.94 kWh battery pack and 3.44 kWh battery pack is available in Plus version.

IDC certified range of 165 km is available in the Pro variant. The Plus variant gets a standard speed limit of 143 kmph. Talking about the features, it gets full-LED lighting, keyless control, cruise control, 7-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth, 4G, Wi-Fi, Limp Home feature, anti-theft alarm, geo fencing.

Vida is also providing fast charging option in V1. The company claims that the fast charger can charge both the variants for a range of 1.2 km on just one minute of charge. It can be charged from Ather Grid.

The company is also building a charging network for charging its electric scooters, which will be a part of the Vida ecosystem. In the Vida ecosystem, the company will provide specially designed charging networks, service platforms, experience centers for its electric scooter customers.

Talking about the performance, both the scooters have a top speed of 80 km/h. The Vida V1 Pro can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.2 seconds, while the V1 Plus does it in 3.4 seconds.
