Bangalore-based Simple Energy has announced the launch date of its electric scooter Simple One, bringing it to May 23, 2023. It will be launched in Bangalore and the deliveries will be done phase wise which will start from Bangalore.
The launch and delivery of the company’s Simple One electric scooter has been postponed several times. The company says that it will be the fastest and most range electric scooter. At the same time, the company has also claimed the safety of the battery of its electric scooter.
Suhas Rajkumar, CEO of Simple Energy, says that they have been testing their product continuously for the last 2 years. At the same time, they have announced that they are the first OEM to comply with AIS 156 Amendment 3, which provides better battery protection.
They say that the Simple One is now faster, has better aesthetics, better battery system and powertrain and offers better safety. At the same time, the company has many products in its pipeline and the core product is R&D. Simple Energy is going to manufacture scooters at its plant in Tamil Nadu.
The Simple One electric scooter can now be fitted with a 4.8 kWh battery pack that provides a range of over 200 km. This electric scooter is capable of achieving 96% efficiency due to which the customers do not have to worry about the range.
With an additional battery pack, this electric scooter offers a range of 300 km on a single charge. The Simple One offers a range of 236 km on Eco mode. With the help of its charger Simple Loop, the Simple One electric scooter gets charged up to 2.5 km range in just 60 seconds.
At home, the inbuilt battery charges 0-100 percent in 2.75 hours, while the removable battery takes an additional 75 minutes to charge. In this case, it takes a total of 4 hours to charge both the batteries.
Let us tell you that the company is going to set up 300 charging stations across the country in the coming months where customers can take advantage of fast charging. Its battery pack is gray in color and weighs more than 6 kg.
The standard variant of the Simple One has been priced at Rs 1.09 lakh, while the long range model has been priced at Rs 1.45 lakh. It is reported that with the launch, the company may increase the price of this electric scooter.
