Ashok Leyland Boss Electric Truck: Ashok Leyland, the leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles has revealed its new electric truck BOSS Electric Truck at Auto Expo 2023. The Boss Electric Truck is the truck model of the company’s Boss Electric Commercial Vehicle lineup. It has been brought to make a place in India’s fast growing electric vehicle market.

The Boss Electric Truck is powered by a high-performance electric motor and advanced Lithium-Ion battery technology, which gives it greater range. The truck is designed for last-mile delivery and inner-city transportation. The vehicle will be used for parcel and courier, poultry, white goods, agri-perishable goods, and many more operations.

The older version of Boss was launched in October 2020 at an ex-showroom price of Rs 18 lakh. It was offered in two variants, LE and LX. One of the key features of the BOSS electric truck is its impressive payload capacity of up to 7.5 tonnes, making it suitable for a wide range of needs including freight transport, logistics and e-commerce delivery.

This electric truck is also equipped with advanced telematics and fleet management system that allows real-time tracking of vehicle performance and helps optimize fleet utilization and operational efficiency. The Boss Electric Truck has been given an aerodynamic design for less drag to provide more range while consuming less battery.

At present, the company has not disclosed the range, battery capacity and power output of this new e-truck. It is expected that this truck will be launched on the Indian roads in the coming few months. Ashok Leyland is planning to roll out new electric vehicles for last-mile delivery and inner-city transportation. In the coming times, the company may unveil some new e-vehicles in the commercial segment.
