According to a Times of India report, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav said on Tuesday that the influence of AI platforms is increasing. Many countries are keeping an eye on this. After discussion between the countries, there is a need to make a rule in this regard.

The Union Minister said that the whole world is discussing what should be the framework and regulatory setup for this. Digital ministers of G7 countries are serious about what kind of regulatory framework should be there for this. It is a matter of the world. This is not an issue of any one country. It needs to be seen in the international context.

Asked about AI chat platforms like ChatGPT that use ‘generative AI’ tools and give human-like intelligent responses within seconds, the minister said there are concerns about IPR, copyright, bias of algorithms. This is a huge field.
All countries need to create a co-operative framework
Is there a need for separate regulation in this matter, Vaishnav said that all countries need to make a co-operative framework on this.
