Ather Energy has been the third largest selling electric two-wheeler company in the month of March and the company has launched a new variant of Ather 450X to further boost the sales. The price of this new base variant is Rs 98,079 (New Delhi).
On the other hand, if you are thinking of buying Ather 450X with Pro Pack, then it will be sold at a price of Rs 1,28,443. This price is around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 less than the old price of this electric scooter.
Both the variants of the Ather 450X share the same hardware but differ in features, charger and warranty. To bring down the cost, Ather has trimmed down the features of the current scooter, though it still gets the 7-inch touchscreen display.
But the base variant gets a grayscale interface while the Pro pack gets a color display. Of this, ride mode, park assist, hill hold assist, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation and live tracking are not provided.
At the same time, its base variant also does not support OTA updates. Apart from this, music and call, tire pressure monitoring system, guide-me-home light, auto indicator off, remote charge monitoring, fast charging are not provided in the base variant.
Ather Energy has also brought Pro Pack with the 450X, which is priced at Rs 30,000. With its help, you get a fully loaded Ather 450X electric scooter which also includes fast charging. It gets fully charged in just 5 hours 40 minutes.
Whereas, it takes 15 hours 20 minutes to charge the base variant of Ather 450X. Along with this, customers of the base variant do not get access to Ather’s fast charging network. At the same time, customers of the base variant will not be able to upgrade to the Pro pack later.
The base variant of the 450X is powered by a 3.7 kWh battery that produces 6.4 kW of power and 26 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 90 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
Both the variants get a range of 146 km. Talking about the warranty, both the variants get 3 years/30,000 km warranty on the vehicle and charger, 3 years/30,000 km on the base variant battery and 5 years/60,000 km on the Pro Pack.
