BMW Sales: Luxury car maker BMW has set a record for selling the highest number of cars in six months of this year. The company has registered sales of 5,867 units between January and June this year. This includes the sale of the company’s luxury SUVs, sedans and electric vehicles. At the same time, BMW’s two-wheeler market also remained hot. During the same period, BMW Motorrad sold 4,667 units of premium motorcycles, a 50 per cent increase over sales in the first six months of last year.

The company said that year-on-year sales have increased by 5 percent in six months, which is proof of the company’s strengthening hold in India. BMW is selling luxury SUVs like X1, X3 and X5 in India. At the same time, the company includes cars like 3 Series, 5 Series and 6 Series in the luxury coupe and sedan lineup. At the same time, in the electric vehicle lineup, the company is selling cars like iX1 and i4. The company also sells Mini luxury cars in India.

BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah told PTI in an interview that 50 per cent of the company’s total sales come from SUV cars. BMW X1 is the most popular model of the company with a sales share of more than 20 percent. The company has sold 500 units of the Mini SE between January and June. He told that the carmaker holds more than 50 percent stake in the luxury electric vehicle segment.

The company is also doing well in the premium motorcycle segment. The best-selling BMW Motorrad bikes in India include the G3 10R, G 310RR and the G 310 GS. All these bikes are being produced in India only.
