New Delhi. Hyundai has revealed the performance variant of its latest electric car Ionic 5 (Hyundai Ioniq 5) Ionic 5 N (Hyundai Ioniq 5 N). The company has increased the power manifold by using an additional electric motor in this car. Hyundai claims that the company has used N Girin Boost mode in this car. Apart from the performance upgrade, the Ioniq 5 N also gets some cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior.
Currently, Hyundai is selling the Ioniq 5 standard model in the Indian market, which costs Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). A 72.6kWh battery pack is being used in this car. This electric SUV produces 217 bhp power and 350 Nm torque output. And its N variant is so powerful that it even leaves behind cars like Toyota Fortuner and Scorpio.
Power is equal to 5 Scorpio
Talking about the Hyundai Ionic 5N, two electric motors have been installed in this car, which gives the car a maximum power output of 609hp. At the same time, this car catches the speed of 0-100 in just 3.4 seconds. If compared to the Mahindra Scorpio, the Classic variant of the Scorpio generates a maximum power of 130 Bhp. That is, the Ionic 5N is as powerful as five Scorpio SUVs.
Its top speed is 260kmph. An 84kWh battery pack has been used to power this car, which makes it more powerful than the standard variant. The company claims that it can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes with the help of a 350 kW DC fast charger.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N: Features
To give the feel of a super car in Hyundai Ionic 5N, 10 speakers have been installed in it. Out of 10 speakers, 8 speakers are inside the car, while two speakers are placed outside. The external speakers make the car sound like a performance car while driving. Three types of sound modes – Ignition, Evolution and Supersonic – have been given for the speaker. The ignition mode emits the sound of a turbo-petrol engine, while the evolution mode emits the sound of an electric vehicle. And in supersonic mode, this car emits the sound of twin fighter jet engines.
