Fraudsters are looting money by luring part-time job.

Online scam is increasing very fast. These days we are also seeing that fraudsters are cheating people by pretending to like YouTube videos. Meanwhile, something similar happened with an IT professional as well, due to which the scammers defrauded him of 42 lakhs. The victim received a fake message on WhatsApp promising a part-time job. It was written in the message ‘Earn more money just by making YouTube videos live’.
According to a PTI report, the victim, who worked as a software engineer in an IT company in Gurugram’s Sector 102, received a message on WhatsApp on March 24, offering him a part-time job. He was told that he could earn more money by liking videos on YouTube. She was later added to a group on Telegram, allegedly named by a woman named Divya.
Soon after joining the group, the group members known as Kamal, Ankit, Bhumi and Harsh convinced the victim to invest their money by promising guaranteed returns. The victim transferred an amount of Rs 42,31,600 from his and his wife’s bank accounts.
Transferred 42 lakh rupees
The victim told, ‘When I agreed to work with them, a woman named Divya added me to a group on the Telegram app. He asked me to invest money with the promise of better returns. Seeing the task, I transferred Rs 42,31,600 from my and my wife’s account.
The victim was initially assured that he had made a profit of Rs 69 lakh. However, when he tried to withdraw the money, the fraudsters demanded an additional Rs 11,000.
Here the victim came to know that he was cheated, after which the victim contacted the police and lodged a complaint against the fraudsters. The police is currently investigating the matter, and trying to trace the scammers.
