New Delhi. Hero MotoCorp has cut the price of its popular electric scooter Vida V1 Electric Scooter. Now this scooter has become cheaper by Rs 25,000. Now the entry level model of this scooter costs Rs 1.03 lakh. Whereas the price of V1 Pro is now Rs 1.20 lakh. This price includes FAME II subsidy.
Hero Vida V1 electric scooter comes with swappable battery. It is offered with 2 battery packs – 3.44kWh with the V1 Plus and 3.94kWh with the V1 Pro. The former offers a certified range of 143 km on a single charge, while the V1 Pro can go up to 165 km on a single charge. The V1 Pro and V1 Plus can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.2 seconds and 3.4 seconds respectively. The company claims that the e-scooter offers a maximum speed of 80 kmph.

Power and Performance
Electric motor battery generates 6kW (8bhp) and 25Nm of torque. However, the continuous power available stands at 5.2bhp. The new Vida V1 gets 3 ride modes – Eco, Ride and Sport. The top-spec V1 Pro also gets a custom mode, which offers over 100 features as per the rider’s requirements. The scooter also features Limp Mode, which reduces the top speed by 20 kmph when the battery capacity is less than 10%. The scooter runs on eco and rides only with less than 20% battery capacity. There’s also a SuperSport mode, which activates above 95% of the throttle input.
Battery and Charging
The scooter’s battery can be charged in 3 ways. It has two removable battery packs, which can be charged at home. The V1 Plus battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 5 hours and 15 minutes. It also gets a portable charging option, which allows the battery to be charged at the parking lot. The electric scooter also supports fast charging and is claimed to achieve a range of 1.2km per minute. Hero is currently selling the Vida V1 e-scooter in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Nagpur, Nashik, New Delhi and Pune. The company is planning to expand its sales to 100 cities before the end of this year.
