Kia Starts Booking Of New Seltos, Company Sold More Than 5 Lakh Units In Less Than 4 Years

Kia, one of the big automobile companies, has started booking new Seltos in India from 14 July. The company had introduced the upgraded Seltos earlier this month. Apart from the company’s dealerships, its booking can also be done on Kia’s website.

The company has new Seltos Has also announced the ‘K-Code’ program for faster delivery. However, it will be available only for customers booking on July 14. The company is expecting a good response from the customers for the new Seltos. Tae Jin Park, Managing Director, Kia’s unit in the country, said, “We are delighted to open pre-bookings for the company’s most successful brand – the Seltos. We are confident that this, like the current Seltos, will further the company’s journey of growth. Will move forward.” In the upgraded version of this SUV, the company has given panoramic sunroof, redesigned grille and headlamps and already powerful 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with 157 bhp. It will also be available in the new Pewter Olive colour.

Kia has produced one million cars in India in just four years. company has also expanded its sales & service network. Kia aims to increase its market share to 10 percent by entering new segments. The company has a factory in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The company started selling the Seltos in the country about four years back. The vehicle that completed the company’s 1 million unit production milestone is the facelifted Seltos.

Last month, the sales of the Seltos SUV crossed five lakh units in India. The company says that it is the fastest SUV to achieve this sales figure in the country. It competes with SUVs like Hyundai’s Creta and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara. The Seltos has been the best selling model in the country for Kia for the last four years. It accounts for more than 50 percent of the company’s sales. It is also the most exported model of the company in overseas markets. The company has exported more than 1.35 lakh units of its indigenously made to many countries.
