Now the list of top 5 safest cars sold in the country has changed, the surprising thing is that not a single Tata car has made it to the list. On the other hand, if we talk about the domestic company, then an SUV from Mahindra has definitely made a place in this list.

Apart from Tata cars not getting a place in the top 5 list of Global NCAP, another surprising thing that came to light in the recent Latin NCAP rating is that in the hatchback segment, French carmaker Citroën’s C3 car which people like very much. Global NCAP has changed some of its testing protocols after which the cars which were earlier placed in the 5 star rating category are now out. Although no information has been given as to what changes have been made in the rules, but it is certain that they have been made even more stringent. A few points have been raised to pass the scale and now cars have to go through multiple tests and score higher numbers than before to get ranked.

• Volkswagen Virtus has made it to the first position. This car has got 5 star rating in adult safety. At the same time, the car has also got a 5 star rating in child safety. The car has scored 71.71 out of 83 points.
• Skoda’s Slavia has been at number two. It has also got a 5 star rating in terms of child and adult safety. This car has also scored 71.71 points just like the Virtus.
• Volkswagen’s car has again retained its hold on the third number and it has been the Tigun. The Tigun has received a 5 star rating for adult and child safety. However, this car has got slightly lesser marks as compared to the first two cars and has scored 71.64.
• Skoda’s Kushak has been on the fourth position. This car has also got 5 stars in adult and child safety ranking. And out of 83, the car has scored 71.64 points.
• At the fifth position, Scorpio N of the indigenous company Mahindra has made its place, the car has got 5 stars in Adult Safety and 3 stars in Child Safety. The car has scored a total of 58.18 points.
