OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s Nothing launched his second smartphone, Nothing Phone 2 Launched on Tuesday. Unlike the previous Nothing Phone 1, the new Phone 2 is powered by a flagship-grade Snapdragon chipset and packs a big battery. The Glyf interface has been modified in the smartphone, which also supports third party apps like Uber and Zomato. The phone comes with a dual rear camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors. Three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches (every two months) have been promised for the newly launched handset.

Nothing Phone 2 price in India is Rs.44,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB configuration. Whereas, its 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants cost Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively. It comes in Dark Gray and White color options and will be available for purchase on July 21 via Flipkart and select retailers.

Customers holding pre-order passes can order the phone from today via Axis or HDFC Bank debit and credit cards and can avail an additional discount of Rs 3,000. The discount will also be extended to official accessories for the Nothing Phone 2.

Customers can also buy the Nothing Phone 2 through the company’s ‘Nothing Drops’ pop-up stores in various cities, starting with Bengaluru on July 14 at 7PM (IST).

Specifications, features of Nothing Phone 2

The dual-SIM (Nano) Nothing Phone 2 runs on Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box. The handset flaunts a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) LTPO OLED display that supports adaptive refresh rate, wherein the rate automatically adjusts between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the activity on the screen . Furthermore, the display comes with 240Hz touch sampling rate, SGS Low Blue Light, and HDR10+ certification.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU, paired with up to 512GB of inbuilt storage and up to 12GB of RAM. It is equipped with three high-definition microphones and a dual stereo speaker setup.

The Nothing Phone 2 sports a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS). Furthermore, the second camera is a 50-megapixel 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle sensor with EIS, 114-degree field of view, and f/2.2 aperture. According to the company, the latter also doubles as a macro camera (4 cm).

Supported video modes on the Nothing Phone 2 include 4K at 60fps, 1080p at 30 or 60fps, and Live HDR at 4K and 30fps. You can also record slow motion videos at 480fps and time-lapse videos at 4K resolution. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.45 aperture along with 1/2.74-inch Sony IMX615 sensor.

According to the company, minor changes have been made to the interface and it now includes 33 zones and the phone supports 10 new ringtones and notification sounds.
