Ola Electric, one of the leading electric two-wheeler makers, has announced the sale of its new electric scooter S1 Air from July 28. Its delivery will be started next month. This will be the company’s lowest priced electric scooter. Its booking has started. The company told that booking it before July 28 will cost Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

For those buying the S1 Air after July 30, the price will go up to Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). company “With the S1 Air, we aim to make the country’s electric vehicle revolution accessible to all. The success of the S1 and S1 Pro has only increased the importance of electric vehicles. We are confident that the S1 Air will soon be a game changer in the scooter industry,” said a spokesperson for S1 Air.

The company has tested more than five lakh kilometers of S1 Air. This electric scooter will have a hub motor instead of the belt drive used in the S1 and S1 Pro. Ola Electric has shared a post on Twitter claiming to have tested more than five lakh kilometers of this soon-to-be-launched electric scooter. The company had announced to bring the S1 Air with a 2.7 kW motor but it has been upgraded to 4.5 kW. A 3 kWh battery will be given in it. Ola Electric Has given information about the range of this electric scooter to be 125 kilometers in a single charge. However, the time taken for its charging has not been told.

It will have three riding modes – Eco, Normal and Sports. Its top speed will be 85 kmph. The company has reduced its price by reducing some features in S1 Air. However, it looks very similar to the S1 and S1 Pro. It will be made available in five dual tone colors – Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black and Liquid Silver. The company plans to launch an initial public offer (IPO) soon. Ola Electric started selling electric scooters about two years ago. It has reached the first position with 38 percent share in this market.
