The POCO 50 seems to be arriving this month. It’s a budget Android smartphone that will replace the POCO C40 which was not launched in India. The POCO C series smartphones are budget-friendly and have large batteries. Let’s take a look at the specs, features, expected cost, and competition for the POCO 50.

POCO C50 Specifications and Features POCO will launch its POCO C50 Android smartphone by the end of the month.
The POCO C50, the successor to the POCO C40 was not launched in India. The C series of Android smartphones from POCO are affordable, and the specifications for the POCO C40 were the same. The C50 could be offered by POCO with minor changes in key specifications, but the rest of its features will remain the same as the C40. The POCO C40 featured a 6.71-inch screen with HD+ or 720p resolution. POCO had chosen Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is possible that the POCO C50 will display a similar display.

The POCO C40 had a dual camera setup at the back and a front-facing 5MP camera. The rear camera setup featured a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Rumours suggest that the C50 will have a similar camera setup. POCO chose to include the JLQ JR510 chipset into the C40. The SoC (System on a Chip), although it has an octa core CPU, is made by a lesser-known manufacturer. This could have had an impact on the sales of the POCO 40 and could have affected the selection of the chipset for the POCO 50. POCO C50 Prices and Competition in India The POCO C50 will ship with 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, and is expected to cost about Rs. 50 lakh.

POCO may not offer either 6GB RAM or 128GB internal storage options. However, the series packs huge batteries. The POCO C40 featured a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18w fast charging.
Previous reports indicated that the POCO-C50 would receive a MediaTek Helio SoC or a Qualcomm Snapdragon entry-level processor. This is mainly because smartphone buyers are familiarized with these brands. The C50 may be slightly more expensive than the C40. Rumours suggest that the POCO C50 could represent a rebranded shoppingmode Redmi A1. The C50 may be priced below Rs 10,000 by POCO, although this is possible. It could be priced at the same price as smartphones from Redmi A, Tecno and LAVA Blaze.
