The latest lens models from Sony will establish a new standard in the zooming. Its FE 20-70mm F4 G (SEL2070G) offers an extremely wide 20-70mm zoom in an ultra-compact, lightweight full-frame lens with an unchanging F4 aperture across its zooming range.

Lightweight and compact, the new zoom standard covers ultra-wide 20 to 70mm The FE 20-70mm F4 G weighs just 488g. It’s built using Sony’s latest lens design as well as the XD (extreme active) Linear Motors technology.
The ultra-wide 20mm portion on the zoom spectrum allows you to ensure an expansive angle of view when filming video using 16:9, or 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
The lens’s focus is controlled by two of Sony’s most recent XD Linear Motors, providing high thrust for a swift and quiet focus drive. The thrust efficiency has been greatly enhanced over the previous models, leading to up 60% more in the speed of AF.
Video performance
The FE 20-70mm F4 G is able to reduce focus breathing along with the axial and focus shifts when zooming to ensure the finest quality images are recorded.
Alpha camera models’ Active Mode image stabilization is very efficient at the ultra-wide 20 millimeters of the FE 20-70mm F4 G zoom range. It offers excellent stabilization of images, while keeping the wide-angle of view. This is a great feature to shoot smooth, stable handheld video when walking.
