TCL announces the NXTPAPER 11 with the second generation display technology, and a less expensive slate, Tab 11 slate
TCL presented the 2nd next generation display technology during the MWC 2023, and also the first tablet that makes use of the technology, as well as an inexpensive tablet that comes with an ordinary display.

Its TCL NXTPAPER 11 is smaller than the 12″ tablet that was featured at CES and is also less expensive and costs less than half the cost. The slate comes with the 10.95″ IPS LCD with resolution of 2,000 x 1200 pixels (15:9) It is coated with a special substance which gives it the appearance of paper. It is also equipped with an optional stylus with four distinct levels of tension.
The NXTPAPER 2.0 technology is more bright than the previous model and can reach 500 nits. The anti-glare technology can be used even under intense ambient light. Additionally, a specially designed light sensor can adapt the display’s color temperatures to the ambient light.
The tablet runs an Helio P60T chipset, and is not mobile-ready (the NXTPAPER 12 Pro does 5G due to the Kompanio 800T processor). The tablet runs Android 13 and features advanced multitasking capabilities , such as floating window and split-screen modes. It can expand storage by using microSD slot.
Local connectivity is managed via the Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.0. The front-facing camera, 8MP, features a 100deg wide lens. There are also two microphones and four speakers in the unit This slate is well-suited for calls using video. Also, there is an 8MP camera at the back.
The tablet measures 6.9mm thick and weighs only 462g and comes with an internal battery of 8,000mAh capacity. The tablet is powered by USB-C using the included 18W charging cable.
The TCL Tab 11 will be come in Market in May. The Wi-Fi model is priced at $180, while the 4G version will cost a little more at $210. There are additional accessories available, including the mentioned T-Pen and the Bluetooth keyboard, film with a protective case.
