New Delhi. The first month of the financial year 2024 (April 2023 – March 2024) has been very good for the two wheeler segment. Motorcycles and scooters included in the top 10 list saw an annual growth of 23.79 percent in sales. The sale of top 10 two-wheelers was 10,25,782 units in the last month i.e. April 2023 and in April 2022 this figure was 8,28,643 units.

Hero Splendor may have been one of the best-selling bikes, but there is another bike which has performed exceptionally well in terms of sales. Bajaj Pulsar captured the third number registering a spectacular growth. No other bike has registered more growth than Bajaj Pulsar in the top 5 best selling two wheelers. That is, this bike was number 1 in terms of growth.

In April 2023, Hero Splendor and Honda Activa reigned once again with Bajaj Pulsar in two wheeler sales. In April 2023, Splendor’s sales grew to 2,65,225 units with a growth of 13.30 per cent. The market share of Splendor stood at 25.86 percent. Honda’s popular scooter Activa remained at the second position in April 2023. Activa has registered a sale of 2,46,357 units with a growth of 50.60 percent. Activa currently holds 23.98 per cent shares in this list. The company is now preparing to launch the Activa electric scooter next year. Activa Electric will compete with scooters from TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market.

Bajaj Pulsar on number 3
Bajaj’s Pulsar bike was at number three, whose sales in April 2023 increased by 150.59 percent to 1,15,371 units. NS160, NS200 and 220 have given tremendous contribution in this sale of Pulsar. After this, there is Honda CB Shine at number 4 and Hero HF Deluxe bike at number 5. April saw a decline in the growth of Honda CB Shine, whose sales stood at 89,261 units and similarly the sales of HF Deluxe also declined by 21.77 per cent.
