You will be surprised to know that this is not a developed country of America or Europe, but a small country of Asia, Japan. People are using AC in 91 out of 100 homes in Japan. That is, people are using some kind of AC in 91% of the houses in Japan. After Japan, the country with AC in most of the houses is America, where 90% of the houses have AC.

AC in 60% of China’s homes
At the same time, Korea is at the third place in terms of using AC. AC is used in 86 percent of the houses in Korea. At the same time, in this case, China is at the fourth position with 60 percent AC houses. Air-conditioning equipment is being used in 16% of homes in the South American countries of Mexico and Brazil. At the same time, 9 and 6 percent of the houses in Indonesia and South Africa have AC respectively.

AC in only so many houses of India
If we talk about India, AC has reached only 5% of the houses in the country with a population of about 140 crores. In a hot country like India, the use of AC is very less as compared to other developed countries of Asia. According to the Stats of India report, air conditioners or coolers are being used in about 24 percent of the homes in India.

While AC air coolers reach 39.5% of households in urban areas, only 15.8% of households in rural areas are using these heat-relieving devices. States like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan have maximum number of AC houses. At the same time, in states like Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal, AC is being used in the least number of homes.
