A leak from Weibo suggests that Xiaomi may drop its 13 series and instead release the 14 series directly. However, Wang Hua (general manager of Xiaomi’s Public Relations Department) denied the rumor, and said that the Xiaomi13 Series will be released as scheduled.
The flagship model in Xiaomi’s 13-series is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which boasts a more powerful CPU and higher energy efficiency. Previous tipsters have indicated that the new flagship phone will feature a Samsung 2K E6 display, IMX989 cameras, and MIUI 14 based upon the Android 13 operating system. Leica, a German camera manufacturer, will continue to support the phone’s photography performance. It is expected that it will be released by the end of the month or at the beginning of next year.
Jin Fan (product director at Xiaomi) and chief executive at MIUI announced via Weibo, November 17, that MIUI 14 will be available soon. This is the company’s lightest operating system. Jin stated that the pre-installed applications of MIUI 14 could be manually deleted, while the basic functions can’t be deleted. Some netizens complained about irritating advertisements.

The gift box can be obtained free of charge by consumers who complete the tasks and purchase a Xiaomi12S ultra. Scalpers had already sold the gift box on second-hand trading platforms for 2,000 yuan ($281) before the activity began.
The matter sparked much discussion. Wanghua acknowledged that the gift box was too conservative and advised consumers to not buy it from scalpers at such high prices before they know whether or not it is true. Wang stated that Xiaomi will continue to consider special products it may release in the future.
