Indian automobile market on boom, sales of cars increasing every month, big jump in June too

New Delhi. The Indian automobile market is booming and sales are witnessing a boom every day. Similar growth has been seen in June as well. According to a SIAM report released on Wednesday, wholesale passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew by 2 percent year-on-year to 3,27,487 units in June. According to the data, in June 2022, 3,20,985 passenger vehicles were sent to the dealers.

SIAM said total two-wheeler sales last month grew by two per cent to 13,30,826 units as against 13,08,764 units in the year-ago period. According to the statement, the total sales of three-wheelers increased almost two-fold to 53,019 units in the month under review, compared to 26,701 units in June 2022. On the other hand, according to the company, Maruti has once again sold the maximum number of vehicles. Hyundai has registered its presence at number two and Tata Motors at number three.

If we look at the sales figures of Maruti Suzuki, the company has sold a total of 1,59,418 units in June 2023. And in 2022, this figure was only for the sale of 1,55,857 units. Accordingly, the company has achieved a growth of 2 percent in June. At the same time, according to the annual rate, the company has got an increase of 8.43 percent in the Indian market.

Hyundai also got an edge
At the same time, Hyundai has also made very good sales this year. In June 2023, the company recorded a sale of 50,001 units, while in June 2022 it was only 49,001 units. The company has achieved a gain of 2.04 percent here. On the other hand, if we talk about exports, it was 13,350 units in June 2022, which increased to 15,600 units in 2023.

Tata Motors is constantly showing a boom in sales by making changes in its vehicles. In June this year, the company has achieved a growth of more than 5 percent as compared to the previous year. In June, the company registered a sale of 47,235 units, while in 2022 it was only 45,197 units. On the other hand, if we talk about electric vehicles, the company sold 7,025 units in June, while in June 2022 this figure was 3,608 units.
